HaxePunk 3.0 fact or fiction?

Hello,

I heard about HaxePunk 3.0 which is lime/opengl based version of our beloved framework. On the git I found that there is a "release 3.0.0" branch however this seems to be pretty old (no commits for 4 months). Is there any other place where a more up to date source can be found?

I'm asking this because for my current project I'm targeting desktop and would like to implement post render shader effect. Pure openGL haxePunk would be perfect for me :)

Hi,

definitively a fact, but right now there hasn't been much work on it,
I have some vacations starting next week so I'll continue working on the api,
but it'll take a lot of time before this new version is ready to use.

Thanks for your answer! Looks like this would be for my next project then :) In the meanwhile I found this http://haxepunk.com/documentation/tutorials/post-process/ so I can easily add GLSL post processing using 2.5.x.

Looking at the 3.x.x source code I saw that there is a SceneNode class. Does it mean there will be a scene graph? Imho this would be very good as it's what HaxePunk misses the most. However don't know how it could fit within the current entity system.

Be aware that the post process is sort of a plugin and isn't often tested, so it might not work perfectly with the latest version.
In that case just report the problem and we'll fix it ;)

The 3.x branch is very experimental and may not reflect the final version,
but in this case yeah a scene graph is planned, basically you'd use the add function of Scene (the root) like before or of Entity.
